I saw the post on Dartmoor and had to share this picture of my solo camping trip in the same area. I can’t say for sure where I camped approximately 5 miles out of Princetown on route to Ivybridge. Looking at Steve's picture I’m pretty sure this is the same place (see picture)
The spirit of the industrial past and the ever present bronze aged standing stones really does make this place special. When the fog is down you really are on your own.
Note: The campfire in this picture was already there, great place to cook but don’t be fooled there is no firewood anywhere on the moor.
